Blueberry Pie Filling Cake

3 eggs
2 cups granulated white sugar 1 cup oil
3 cups self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup blueberry pie filling
1 cup nuts

1 stick butter
1 box confectioners sugar 1 8-oz. package cream cheese  1 tsp. vanilla

Cream eggs, sugar, and oil. Mix soda with flour and add alternately with the buttermilk. Fold in pie filling and nuts. Bake in three layers at 350°.

(Since this makes a very rich cake, Mother usually made 1 1/2 two-layer cakes.)
